History of the assessment
The first version of the scale was developed by Nancy Bayley in 1969. Since then, the method has been
updated several times, and the current version (Bayley III) is the result of many years of research and refinement that make it possible to assess a child's early development accurately.

The Bayley scale is used to detect developmental delays in the early stages of a child's life. This helps to develop appropriate early intervention programs that support harmonious development.
